Under the hood

The original is built with Python’s turtle graphics, which do not exist in the browser. A small stand-in takes the turtle commands and draws them onto a canvas, batched once per frame. That keeps it smooth even when the light trails grow thousands of cells long. The Python code stays unchanged.

Click into the playfield so it gets the keyboard. On a phone there is a keypad below the game.

A private fan project with no commercial purpose. TRON is a trademark of Disney. Source: github.com/oliverdevtron/Tron · Python in the browser thanks to Pyodide.
